Mental illness and substance abuse can strike anyone at any time. It doesn’t matter if you’re old, young, male, female, what your socioeconomic status is, or what the color of your skin is, mental illness and chemical addiction affect all walks of life. However, with appropriate treatment, most people who struggle with these afflictions can lead full, rich, and meaningful lives.
