Suicide Prevention Awareness Art Contest

Suicide Prevention Awareness Art Contest poster - BryLin

BryLin Hospital announced the winners of its inaugural Suicide Prevention Awareness Art Contest at a private awards ceremony on Tuesday, September 26th, 2023 at 1:00 PM.

Submissions were accepted in a variety of mediums, including paintings, drawings, and poems.

We were honored to celebrate the artistic talents of our participants, including the three winners, and their commitment to raising awareness of suicide prevention.

Suicide is a serious public health problem, but it is preventable. By talking about suicide and raising awareness, we can help to reduce the stigma and encourage people to seek help when they need it. That is why this art contest was so important. It has given us and our participants a platform to share their stories and their hopes for the future.

We were truly inspired by the creativity and originality of ALL of the submissions we received. Our judges had a difficult time choosing the winners, but they ultimately selected the pieces that they felt best represented the theme of hope.

The winners of the 2023 BryLin Hospital Suicide Prevention Awareness Art Contest:

  • First place: Nicole Beaudoin – Paper Collage – With Help There’s Hope
  • Second place: Olivia Griffo – Painting – “Drowning”
  • Third place: Malyssa Spillman – Pastel art – “The Mountains”

The awards ceremony is a celebration of the artistic talents of the contest participants and their commitment to raising awareness of suicide prevention. BryLin Hospital invites the community to visit www.brylin.com following the ceremony to view some of the inspiring artistic submissions.

Congratulations to all of our winners!

We would like to encourage everyone to continue to talk about suicide and to raise awareness of this important issue. Together, we can make a difference.

*These are just a few of the many creative and inspiring submissions we received for our inaugural event.
