Celebrating Eric Pleskow: 2025 Excellence in Health Care Award Winner

BryLin Hospital is proud to celebrate a major milestone in leadership and legacy. Eric D. Pleskow, CEO of BryLin Hospital, has been honored with the 2025 Excellence in Health Care Award by Buffalo Business First, recognizing his outstanding contributions to mental health care and his unwavering commitment to the Western New York community.

Honoring a Lifetime of Service

Eric’s selection for this award is a meaningful recognition in a landmark year, as BryLin Hospital celebrates its 70th anniversary. With over 50 years in the health care industry and 46 years at BryLin, Eric has dedicated his life to continuing the mission his father began when he founded the hospital in 1955.

“I entered this profession to carry on my father’s legacy,” Eric shared. “His dedication to helping others inspired me, and it’s been an honor to expand on his vision and make a meaningful impact on our community.”

A Vision Rooted in Compassion and Change

Eric has long championed the importance of making mental health care more accessible and eliminating stigma. Under his leadership, BryLin continues to deliver high-quality, compassionate behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults.

His goal before retirement is ambitious and heartfelt: to help eliminate stigma and normalize seeking help for one’s mental health the same way we seek help for physical health. As Eric often says, “Mental health is just as important as physical health.”

A Well-Deserved Honor

The 2025 Excellence in Health Care Award celebrates leaders who go above and beyond in service, innovation, and impact. Eric’s legacy is not just one of leadership — it’s one of empathy, vision, and transformation.

We are grateful for Eric’s leadership and proud to see him recognized among Western New York’s finest health care professionals. Congratulations, Eric!
